Since then, he has also given us other versions of his scent, sometimes darker and more nocturnal, or more honeyed and Parisian. In 2020, yet another portrait of this astonishing woman stands before us. So, how about diving into the wild universe of the fragrance So Scandal ! by Jean-Paul Gaultier?
So Scandal !, the fragrance of a chic yet very daring woman
Jean-Paul Gaultier manages to distinguish himself in one of the most luxurious worlds there is: that of couture. Yet he never forgets his originality and his extravagance. Now, the woman who wears So Scandal ! is exactly like him. Her very elegant appearance gives her the impression of belonging to Parisian high society. Yet the woman who wears the scent of So Scandal ! is by no means lacking in audacity either… She loves above all to reveal her femininity with humor, all while displaying an amused nonchalance. It is simple: no one can ignore her presence! The scent she gives off exalts the senses and leaves an indelible memory. Everyone talks only of her, of this so scandalously seductive woman!
So Scandal !, a very floral fragrance in a couture bottle
So Scandal ! by Jean-Paul Gaultier comes in the designer's usual packaging, shaped like a tin can. However, it seems the couturier decided to give this highly original container a more glamorous and sophisticated appearance. Its raw, metallic look has disappeared, giving way to a cover of purplish red velvet. The words So Scandal !, meanwhile, appear on the front, in a shinier, slightly raspberry-colored script. But what does this elegant box conceal? Inside, Jean-Paul Gaultier decided to slip in a slightly rounded glass bottle, whose transparent walls reveal all the beauty and femininity of a dark pink juice. Like its predecessors, the bottle of So Scandal ! is also topped with a highly original cap: as if a woman had tumbled into this perfume bottle, leaving only her lovely pair of legs visible!
But what about the olfactory side? So Scandal ! does not go unnoticed and releases a scandalously fragrant burst into the air. To achieve this, it relies on an enormous, very luminous bouquet of flowers. Its heart is rich in tuberose, jasmine and orange blossom, three highly fragrant and opulent plants, known for their sun-kissed aura. To this is added a milkier, enveloping sillage. No one can resist its carefree charm. So Scandal ! intends to make hearts race and reveal an untamable personality!

The advertising
Scandal by Jean-Paul Gaultier is a fragrance that came into being in 2017. Just as astonishing for its gourmand scent as for its stunning bottle, it did not fail to seduce the female public. Since then, this juice has reinvented itself season after season. This time, in 2020, it gives rise to a new variant of its scent named So Scandal !. Still sexy and daring, this juice is a cocktail of white flowers that is both gourmand and playful, endowed with incredible sensuality. Its bottle, meanwhile, proves darker and more sophisticated than before. In terms of advertising, however, So Scandal ! reuses the campaign for the fragrance Scandal in Paris. So, will you be tempted by a little society dinner alongside Jean-Paul Gaultier, Irina Shayk and Rossy de Palma?
Who are the three protagonists of this advertisement for So Scandal !?
Always very involved in his creations, Jean-Paul Gaultier did not hesitate to appear in this advertisement. Here, he finds himself at a fashionable Parisian dinner, seated at the back of a prestigious room, alongside Rossy de Palma. Well known to the general public, this Spanish actress is also one of the couturier's favorite muses. The two accomplices are then joined by Irina Shayk, ambassador for the fragrance So Scandal ! and for the entire collection for over a year.
But who is this dark, sultry creature? Irina Shayk is a Russian model who today counts among the sexiest women on the planet. As proof, she was voted most beautiful woman in the world in 2011, before going on to collaborate with countless luxury brands such as L'Oréal, Intimissimi, Victoria's Secret, Agent Provocateur, Beach Bunny, Replay, Guess, Versace, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs Beauty and Burberry. Her sultry beauty continues to wreak havoc, as does her dream body!
The advertisement for So Scandal !, a meal alongside Jean-Paul Gaultier
In this advertisement, Irina Shayk takes us to the heart of a fashionable dinner, in a chic Parisian restaurant. Yet she does not seem to worry about the usual dress codes of this type of establishment. Indeed, she wears only a tuxedo jacket and a pair of high heels. The young woman lets her lingerie show, along with her bare legs. This does not seem to please the other diners at the restaurant at all, who immediately cry scandal. No matter what people say, it takes more than that to unsettle Irina Shayk, who crosses the entire room with her head held high, until she reaches Jean-Paul Gaultier's table. The couturier, however, is amused by it, and the advertisement even ends on this line: we love this scandal!
The whole thing is filmed in black and white to the track “Waltz” by the classical composer Aram Khachaturian. A piece taken from Masquerade, a stage score composed in 1941 by Aram Khachaturian for the play of the same title by Mikhail Lermontov.
