So Scandal ! sports a cap that is eccentric, to say the least!
Let us begin with the most surprising element of this bottle: its cap! While most perfumers opt for a round or square cap, Jean-Paul Gaultier imagined an entirely different silhouette for the top of his bottle! Here, it is a pair of women's legs that serve as the cap for the bottle of So Scandal !! In a chrome color, women's legs stretch toward the sky, as if a lovely creature had fallen backward into the essence of Jean-Paul Gaultier! The idea is incongruous, to say the least, but it does at least have the advantage of being memorable! What is more, this cap adopts a shape that greatly facilitates handling. Finally, for added femininity and glamour, the woman who appears to be lost in this bottle wears lovely heels.
Jean-Paul Gaultier's pink color darkens and becomes more glamorous
Like its predecessors, So Scandal ! is presented in a pink-colored juice. However, it becomes sexier and darker than before. With this new color, Jean-Paul Gaultier wanted to give his fragrance the color of a great vintage, intensely raspberry, almost burgundy. So Scandal ! takes on a more velvety effect, in a more nocturnal, couture style. So Scandal ! completely abandons its formerly angelic side in favor of a far more provocative color.
The bottle of So Scandal ! has more languorous folds
Finally, while its silhouette remains largely identical to that of its predecessors, the walls of So Scandal ! are now decorated with numerous folds that play with light and cast fleeting reflections. This bottle's hips are round while its waist is tiny, in the manner of a 1950s pin-up. Completely deconstructed, this bottle seems to have its top where its bottom should be, and vice versa. The result is a dangerously irresistible fruit. So Scandal ! by Jean-Paul Gaultier comes in three different sizes of 30, 50 or 80 ml, more or less elongated depending on the format chosen.
