Magnolia Nobile
Magnolia Nobile comes after Iris Nobile and founds with it the Le Nobili collection of Acqua di Parma. Antoine Maisondieu treats a difficult flower there: three Italian citrus fruits open, the magnolia reigns with Bulgarian rose and two absolutes, sandalwood and patchouli close. A woody floral of 2009 that the house files on the side of discreet elegance.

Where to buy
Acqua di Parma launched Magnolia Nobile in 2009, five years after Iris Nobile, and found there the second pillar of its feminine collection. The composition falls to Antoine Maisondieu, credited from the June 2009 announcement by Now Smell This, a month before a sale planned for July.
A garden on Lake Como
The house says it drew on the gardens of the villas of Lake Como, where magnolias grow. Its whole discourse holds in that image: a noble flower, an Italian elegance that has no need to attract attention.
The second pillar of a collection
Le Nobili today counts Rosa Nobile and Peonia Nobile alongside the magnolia, gathered in a set of three 12 ml bottles. Magnolia Nobile has had several special editions and an eau de toilette version, Acqua Nobile Magnolia, which arrived in 2013.
A flower the critics were waiting to judge
Magnolia has a poor reputation among reviewers, who reproach it for turning soapy. Acqua di Parma took the risk of making it the name of a fragrance, and the verdict at release bore less on the flower than on the citrus opening.
