The house describes it as a floral woody gourmand: black cherry takes hold of the line’s white bouquet of orange blossom, tuberose and sambac jasmine, deepened by an oakwood extract and an accord of rum, davana and vanilla.

Givenchy launched L’Interdit Elixir in 2026. Now Smell This announced it on July 22 as a variation on the 2018 L’Interdit, following L’Interdit Narcisse Blanc. Despite its name, the fragrance is an Eau de Parfum, offered in 35, 50 and 80 ml bottles.

Two 2018 perfumers and a new signature

Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo, two of the three perfumers behind the 2018 L’Interdit, sign L’Interdit Elixir with Meabh McCurtin. The house sees it as the boldest expression of femininity in the line, more magnetic and more sensual than ever.

A talisman of power

Givenchy presents the fragrance as more than a perfume: a talisman of power, an invitation to embrace and reveal one’s inner strength. The vocabulary of the precious stone runs through the house’s language, down to the ruby-inspired bottle.

Rooney Mara, the face of L’Interdit since 2018, carries its image: ELLE Brasil presents her as the star of the L’Interdit Elixir campaign.
