Mugler Angel Elixir
It was in 1992 that Thierry Mugler decided to create a gourmand fragrance, drawing on his childhood memories. I wanted to create a fragrance that could resonate universally, something close to tenderness, he confides. This is how Thierry Mugler's best-seller came about: the timeless Angel. Once again, it is being given renewed prominence in 2023. It becomes Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler.

The star as an endless source of inspiration for Angel Elixir
For as long as he can remember, Thierry Mugler has always been fascinated by stars. Indeed, he has always seen in them a dreamlike universe, a symbol of infinity. It was therefore only natural for him to make the star his emblem and blue his signature color. Thus, all the fragrances in Thierry Mugler's Angel collection transport us into a fairy tale, while drawing on pleasant memories from his youth, such as the scent of fairgrounds, cotton candy, or the atmosphere of the tea parties organized by his grandmother. This same tenderness can be found in Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler. As always, it comes in a star-shaped bottle. A genuine technical feat, it now stands upright. Proud and sculptural, it also comes in a new shade: a particularly bewitching navy blue.
Angel Elixir: a new feminine star
Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler reinvents this timeless fragrance. It becomes a pure elixir, expressing the heightened femininity of today's fearless superwomen. Innocent yet powerful, down-to-earth yet unusual, precise yet enveloping, it is a particularly fascinating new star! Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler highlights a striking contrast between the addictive depth of woods and vanilla and the luminous radiance of flowers. Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler stands halfway between shadow and light.
The highly contrasted, gourmand scent of Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler
Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler was created by perfumers Domitille Berthier and Anne Flipo. Like most feminine fragrances, it unfolds in three successive facets. First, it delivers its most exhilarating breath, thanks to pink pepper CO2 extract. Modern, metallic and sharp, it reveals the full vivacity of this raw material. Then, Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler wraps itself in a more magnetic breath. To achieve this, it relies on the sensuality of a bouquet of white flowers. More precisely, it contains sweet orange blossom and spicy ylang-ylang. Finally, it closes on a metaphorical, bewitching base. Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler ends with a blend of New Caledonian sandalwood, vanilla and Amber Xtreme.
Hunter Schafer, new face of Angel Elixir by Thierry Mugler
For this olfactory launch, Thierry Mugler also introduces its new face of the campaign: actress Hunter Schafer, who rose to fame through the hit series Euphoria. Casey Cadwallader, fashion artistic director of Thierry Mugler, has nothing but praise for her: she is as beautiful inside as she is outside. She is creative and brimming with energy. Her positive mindset is contagious. That is why she is exactly the person we needed, he states.

Hunter Schafer, from the runway to the comet
Hunter Schafer travels across a runway and New York skyscrapers all the way to a comet, in a film directed by Quentin Deronzier.
Actress Hunter Schafer is presented as the house's new face of the campaign. Naomi Watts and then Eva Mendes preceded her in the Angel saga. Mugler states that the campaign is co-created by Casey Cadwallader, the house's fashion artistic director, the Mugler teams and the agency Publicis Luxe, that the film is directed by Quentin Deronzier, a director of music videos for Drake and Orelsan, and that the print component is photographed by British photographer Harley Weir.
According to the house's account, the face of the campaign, wearing a black second-skin bodysuit, walks as if on her own runway, then runs along the edge of a New York skyscraper before colliding with a comet. The sixty-second film opens on a long white runway in a black space evoking Mugler runway shows, and closes without a classic packshot, with the face of the campaign tossing the bottle back toward the camera. Casey Cadwallader says he wanted to add humor and surprise to this story.
Dates differ depending on the source: the press release from the agency Publicis announces a global media campaign launch on March 2, 2023, while Marketing Dive places it on March 1, 2023.
