Where to buy

In 1969, Lancôme unveiled its first fresh eau, “Ô de Lancôme”, a light and fresh fragrance immediately adopted by women around the world. In 2010, the house decided to offer its admirers a new version of its signature eau, which would become “Ô d’Azur”. Summery and sun-kissed, this new eau smells of the Mediterranean.

Somewhere in the south…

Originally, Lancôme’s first fresh eau, “Ô de Lancôme”, was also one of the very first eaux in perfumery. Fresh, it stood out for its simplicity and beauty. Widely embraced by women of its time, “Ô de Lancôme” became the fragrance of numerous personalities, notably Brigitte Bardot. Lancôme wished to pay tribute to it through “Ô d’Azur”. The latter retains the spirit of Ô de Lancôme, but is composed in a more summery, more sun-kissed way. “Ô d’Azur” is more modern, more floral and less austere. The house claims a “finger lime accord”, a note with very Mediterranean tonalities. The Mediterranean Sea is also suggested by the name of the perfume, “Azur”, that beautiful Côte d’Azur that the English charmingly call the “French Riviera”. “Ô d’Azur” is a particularly sun-kissed eau.

The Mediterranean aromas of Ô d’Azur

“Ô d’Azur” plunges directly into a sun-kissed landscape on a beautiful summer afternoon. “Ô d’Azur” is a fragrance of sweetness, an invitation to escape that lies halfway between an Eau de Cologne and a perfume. “Ô d’Azur” is built around rose, an emblem and ingredient dear to the house. “Ô d’Azur” opens on the citrus notes of bergamot and on the “finger lime from Calabria”, offering bright and tangy notes. The heart is very floral and blends Damascena rose from Turkey with peony as well as the sparkling, fruity notes of lychee paired with pink pepper from Ecuador. “Ô d’Azur” finishes on a woody, contemporary side with the presence of white musks, wood and ambrette seed. The bottle carries over the codes of its predecessor. Still just as imposing, it reveals a nectar the color of sunlit yellow, ultra-luminous.

In tribute to the house’s first eau, Lancôme presents “Ô d’Azur”, a fresh and sensual eau. As its name suggests, this fragrance celebrates the sun, the Côte d’Azur, and the atmosphere of a summer day. The floral, woody and amber composition is luminous and radiant like the sun of the Côte d’Azur.
