Eau Tropicale, or fragrant journeys to Florida by the house of Sisley

Isabelle and Hubert d’Ornano are passionately fond of faraway landscapes, dreamlike lands and paradisiacal atmospheres that they discover through their travels. Sisley perfumery is in fact strongly inspired by this, and does not hesitate to convey its memories of elsewhere in fragrances with the taste of Spain or the Orient.

While Eau Tropicale takes us directly to unknown lands, it does not stop, as had been customary, in oriental lands but, for the very first time at Sisley, in tropical paradises. It was in fact following a trip to Florida that the artistic director of the renowned house of Sisley had the idea of composing a fragrance that would highlight the beauty of the lush natural landscapes of the jungle.

Thus Eau Tropicale would be, according to Sisley, a true joy of escape at the heart of a distant and mysterious land with a gentle sun-kissed warmth. Intriguing, it would conceal birds with colorful songs, flowers exhaling as yet unexplored scents, and flavorful fruits with the promises and forbidden pleasures of lost paradises.

Of course Eau Tropicale is showcased through a chic and colorful visual from the brand, always fond of beautiful impressionist sketches. For this Eau Tropicale the splendid drawings were created by the Polish artist Krystyna Radziwill.

When sun and flowers meet in Sisley’s Eau Tropicale

Just like its visuals, the bottle of Eau Tropicale has taken on beautiful colors! Indeed the slender glass box topped with its leaf-adorned cap remains, in this Eau Tropicale, as it was for the Eaux de Sisley collection released in 2009. This time the glass takes on an intense violet hue to represent the colors of paradisiacal nature after the storm.

Eau Tropicale opens on a dynamic, citrus cocktail of lemon, bergamot, mandarin and grapefruit to highlight its wonderful floral heart. Indeed, after being swept away by torrents of tangy tropical rain, one is overwhelmed by a gust of opulent flowers released by roses, violets and sun-kissed exotic tuberoses. Intense depths bathe us once again in their mysterious and sensual warmth thanks to notes of ambrette seeds, patchouli and cedar.
