Ô d’Azur is the eau de toilette that Lancôme launched in June 2010 as a variation on Ô de Lancôme, composed by Domitille Bertier and Sophie Labbé at IFF. Bergamot and a Calabrian lemon open it, Damask rose and peony lifted by pink pepper form its heart, over a base of ambrette, white musks and wood.
A Mediterranean eau
Ô d’Azur appeared in June 2010 as a variation on Ô de Lancôme, the 1969 eau fraîche that the house relaunched the same year in a redesigned bottle. Domitille Bertier and Sophie Labbé, perfumers at IFF, composed it around a Mediterranean summer, between Calabrian citrus and Damask rose.
Citrus, rose and ambrette
Bergamot and lemon open it: Osmoz speaks of a lemon caviar accord, The Moodie Davitt Report of a Calabrian lemon essence. The heart brings together Turkish Damask rose and peony, lifted by pink pepper.
The base combines ambrette, white musks and wood, which Osmoz describes as softened by the musks and ambrette seed for a skin-like effect. Osmoz adds a lychee and a rose-bay that the other descriptions do not mention.
