Where to buy

Every day, researchers work to bring the best of science. Among the house’s great celebrated perfumes are Trésor, Magie Noire, La vie est belle and Magnifique. In 1969, the house of Lancôme unveiled ô de Lancôme, a fresh and feminine eau de toilette. Ô d’Azur in 2009 was intended as a first flanker, then Ô de l’Orangerie was born in 2011, placing orange blossom in the spotlight.

In the beginning, Ô de Lancôme

In 1969, the Lancôme house unveiled its fresh scent, Ô de Lancôme. At that time, perfumery trends favored heady and pronounced fragrances. Yet Lancôme decided to go against the current and offer a light, airy eau. From its release, Ô de Lancôme won over a great many women, including Brigitte Bardot, and became a timeless success. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Lancôme wished to offer its fans a flanker as fresh and light as its elder, Ô de l’Orangerie. For this new Ô, Lancôme wanted a sensual juice, as delicate as the caress of orange blossom, the central flower of the composition. This fresh scent immerses one in a garden in the middle of an orangery. Freshness is found in a shaded corner, where the scents intoxicate. Ô de l’Orangerie is a fresh, bold interpretation of Lancôme’s emblematic eau.

Orange blossom at the heart of the composition

Ô de l’Orangerie is defined as a sensual, fresh and bold eau. Its composition places orange blossom in the spotlight. Two talented perfumers are behind this fragrance, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. Both decided to pay tribute to orange blossom. Dominique Ropion describes the beginnings thus: We had in mind the idea of a fresh, radiant femininity. We dreamed of a refined fresh eau that would celebrate this mythical flower of perfumery, letting it reveal itself with modesty and majesty. Ô de l’Orangerie opens on fresh notes of bergamot, paired with aquatic notes. Orange is added here, bringing a particular sparkle. Orange blossom absolute wraps the heart in its beauty. Alongside it, neroli and jasmine deliver touches of great femininity. The base brings together benzoin with woody notes and wraps the whole in a soft sensuality. The bottle echoes the codes of its elder. Heavy and majestic, it reveals its juice in a tender, almost innocent green.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of its first fresh eau, Lancôme unveiled Ô de l’Orangerie, built entirely around orange blossom. Faithful to Ô de Lancôme, this new flanker is fresh and feminine. It is, however, more airy than its elder and also more sensual. A refined eau for a thoroughly alluring anniversary.
