Black Opium Glitter

Black Opium Glitter, an edition launched at the end of 2024 by Yves Saint Laurent, slips the signature coffee and orange blossom accord of Black Opium into a musky marshmallow accord, over an infusion of bourbon vanilla. Wikiparfum attributes the composition to Nathalie Lorson, Marie Salamagne, Olivier Cresp and Honorine Blanc-Hattab. The house presents it between false innocence and assumed sensuality, in a bottle dressed in silver glitter.

Where to buy

Black Opium Glitter belongs to the Black Opium collection by Yves Saint Laurent, whose original fragrance, launched in 2014, was according to the house the first feminine fragrance to dare a black coffee accord. iFragrance counts Glitter as the thirteenth flanker of the line.

Wikiparfum attributes the composition to Nathalie Lorson, Marie Salamagne, Olivier Cresp and Honorine Blanc-Hattab, the creators of Black Opium; the house names no one. It dates the launch to late 2024, while Wikiparfum and iFragrance place it in 2025.

The name Glitter continues a tradition of limited editions of Black Opium playing on glitter, in the line of Black Opium Storm Illusion from 2020, now withdrawn from the catalog.

The house presents Glitter as a magnetic creation that pursues pleasure all night long: a musky marshmallow accord, an armor of sweetness, wraps the cream of an infused coffee and luminous notes of orange blossom. YSL Beauté sees in it a new femininity, between false innocence and assumed sensuality.
