The house Guerlain, founded in 1858 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, has since offered magnificent fragrant creations that have traveled through eras with an evident timelessness and eternal youth. It is quite possible that you did not, as its release was known only sporadically, and its commercial concept, altogether strange, was quickly swept aside by the “big” La Petite Robe Noire, an unavoidable bestseller. Yet the gourmand and fresh composition by Thierry Wasser deserved success; now part of the Les Parisiennes collection, it will no longer be N°2, it will be Mademoiselle Guerlain!

Gourmand accents and green notes give rise to a playful Mademoiselle Guerlain fragrance

Mademoiselle Guerlain, originally designed to be the younger sister of La Petite Robe Noire, features the signature marshmallow accord of the successful fragrance by Delphine Jelk and Thierry Wasser. However, Mademoiselle Guerlain does not develop the dark fruit or bitter almond accords of its illustrious relative, preferring brighter floral notes over these sweet notes.

While the opening of Mademoiselle Guerlain is just as sparkling as its counterpart, La Petite Robe Noire, thanks to its lemon and bergamot notes, it clearly distinguishes itself from the latter through its galbanum note, which brings an intense green edge to this striking opening. At the heart, the bright and exotic orange blossom pairs with the marshmallow accord but becomes powdered with a touch of elegant iris, recalling the lovely accords found in Guerlain cosmetics. Finally, vanilla and white musks form a cottony and comfortable sillage for Mademoiselle Guerlain, which thus takes some distance from the traditional Guerlinade.
