With Pour Femme in 1992, Dolce & Gabbana offered an oriental as strong as the fiery gaze of a beautiful Italian woman and as sensual as the sun caressing the skin of Sicily's centuries-old stones. Having become a great classic of perfumery, Pour Femme by Dolce & Gabbana even underwent a small facelift in 2012 to make it even more gourmand… And ever more Italian too!
Created in 1992, Pour Femme by Dolce & Gabbana is reborn with Laetitia Casta in 2012
Born in 1992, Pour Femme was propelled to the top of perfumery sales by its chic and sensual fragrance but also, to be frank, by a shock advertisement directed by Giuseppe Tornatore with the bellissima Monica Bellucci.
Surreal, totally offbeat and totally suggestive, the advertisement showcases the charms of Monica Bellucci as she undresses, barely hidden behind a sheet held by a clan of Sicilian women. The poor man watching her with longing swallows his octopus and inhales the beauty's bra, left carelessly abandoned! The effect of this advertisement, whose broadcast in Italy would be widely extended, was a real detonator for Dolce & Gabbana...
Pour Femme did not stop there and returned in 2012 with a modernized composition and a new madonna to make people dream: Laetitia Casta. Still deeply steeped in life in Sicily, the new advertisement for Pour Femme offers splendid views of the island as well as a torrid love story led by a star at the peak of her beauty and sensuality.
For Dolce & Gabbana, despite these modernizing choices for Pour Femme, it is still always about bringing the glamorous dolce vita touch that is absolutely essential to the haute couture and fragrance house. It is a matter, in this feminine fragrance [Pour Femme] brought up to date, of instinct, of flowers and of sensuality that overwhelms with Sicilian traditions, passion and the aesthetic of the 1950s, according to Luigi Feola of Dolce & Gabbana.
Pour Femme Dolce & Gabbana: a gourmand oriental that has crossed time without a wrinkle!
While Pour Femme changed in 2012 to modernize with more gourmand and sweeter facets, the bottle itself ultimately underwent few transformations, apart from the colors used to bring it up to date. Pour Femme is therefore sold today in an opulent, square bottle of the same shape as the 1992 original, featuring a gold cap topped with a pink stopper.
The fragrant composition of Pour Femme, created by Jean-Pierre Mary in 1992, was reworked in 2012 by Procter and Gamble to accentuate the oriental and gourmand facets of this great classic. Thus, from the top notes, one is captivated by an exotic, gourmand neroli flower blending with the sweet accents of raspberry and a light citrus note of mandarin. Then delicate and subtle jasmine offers its velvety, floral sweetness to these precious sweet notes. The depths play with gourmand notes of caramel and vanilla, but also with sensual and captivating scents of sandalwood and heliotrope.
Pour Femme has managed to be born in the hearts of women twice, both times with great success. Totally addictive and ultra feminine, Pour Femme aims to embody the essence of the Dolce&Gabbana woman: passionate, sensual and maternal. For the woman aware of her strength and her convictions.
