Black Opium Pure Illusion
Black Opium is a perfume now known and adored worldwide. Its ambassador, Edie Campbell, describes it in these terms: what she likes most about Black Opium is its coffee scent, the white flowers, the vanilla, that kind of scent that seems familiar and in which she recognizes herself.

Well, in keeping with this juice, know that Yves Saint Laurent has chosen to reinterpret it in a limited edition named Black Opium Pure Illusion… Focus on the new bewitching design of this legendary perfume!
The hypnotic bottle of Black Opium Pure Illusion
To better understand the visual of the new Black Opium Pure Illusion, let us start by going back to its origins. In reality, this new perfume is the direct descendant of the iconic Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, created in 1977. Its bottle was inspired by an inrō, a small precious case worn by warriors of the Far East. Later, in 2014, Opium transformed into Black Opium. Its visual was slightly altered while retaining the family DNA of its predecessor. Today, the look of Black Opium Pure Illusion has remained intact. Only the colors of its surface have been transformed. Its bottle has kept its square silhouette combined with generous, curved edges. A round porthole decorates its center, while its transparency reveals the pinkish color of its juice. However, its matte black glittery finish has completely disappeared. Its surface is now adorned with a multitude of sequined ribbons. These shimmer in silvery and pink shades. The whole thing intertwines and sparkles brilliantly with elegance and refinement. Black Opium Pure Illusion seems to have redressed itself to accompany you on all your nighttime outings. Black Opium Pure Illusion has a resolutely urban look and now sparkles like a rough diamond. Its center gives it the energy of a rising sun. Femininity is omnipresent throughout, and the whole is a true luxury object worthy of a collector's jewel.
The unchanged formula of Black Opium
While Black Opium Pure Illusion surprises with its extremely elaborate look, its formula, on the other hand, has remained exactly the same as before. Black Opium Pure Illusion releases an energizing, intoxicating breath. Indeed, its entire composition revolves around the scent of black coffee, both sweet and creamy. Its bitterness is warmed with spices through the presence of pink pepper. A juicy pear reinforces the fruity aspect of this perfume, while white flowers lighten the whole. Black Opium Pure Illusion notably contains sambac jasmine and orange blossom. Almond softens its formula, while licorice reinforces its gourmand character. Black Opium Pure Illusion finally concludes with a syrupy, enveloping and creamy association of vanilla, patchouli, cedar and cashmere wood. This formula is the work of a talented quartet of perfumers made up of Nathalie Lorson, Marie Salamagne, Honorine Blanc and Olivier Cresp.
