Supreme Bouquet

Yves Saint Laurent launched an Oriental Collection in June 2013, three eaux de parfum presented as an invitation to travel to the Orient and housed in gold-covered bottles. Supreme Bouquet is its floral, which the house describes as an escapade in an oriental garden.

Dominique Ropion and white flowers

The composition went to Dominique Ropion, a perfumer at IFF, whom the house now presents as a virtuoso of white flowers. Around tuberose he gathers jasmine sambac and ylang-ylang, on a base of patchouli and a woody amber accord.

From Le Vestiaire des Parfums to Gold

Supreme Bouquet has since joined Le Vestiaire des Parfums, the house’s private collection, within an Oriental Collection inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s stays in Morocco and by the Majorelle Garden. There it takes the line’s architectural bottle, lacquered in gold.

The house now sells it under the name Gold, echoing the gold Yves Saint Laurent liked to set against black, in buttons, belts and chains. It quotes the couturier: an evening should glow, otherwise it is a bit absurd.
