Where to buy

While Boucheron has a history spanning more than 160 years in the world of jewelry, it only ventured into perfumery more recently, in 1988. Certainly, these two fields are very different, but they can nonetheless be connected through shared creative sources. India, for instance, is a land that has very often inspired the Boucheron family. It was India that gave rise to the perfume Jaïpur in 1994. Today, this fragrance reinvents itself and becomes Jaïpur Bouquet. So, what about rediscovering the scent of this oriental perfume, enhanced for the occasion with an added touch of lightness and modernity?

Jaïpur Bouquet, a jewel bottle inspired by Rajasthan

Jaïpur Bouquet by Boucheron, like its predecessors, comes in a strikingly beautiful bottle. Quite unlike other classic perfume bottles, it takes on a round shape, closely resembling that of a bracelet. In fact, Jaïpur was originally conceived as a tribute to a mythical tradition and to the history of the Nauratan. In Rajasthan, this is a bracelet given to newlyweds as a good luck charm. The jewel in question is set with nine precious stones symbolizing the nine planets: diamond, ruby, emerald, sapphire, topaz, cat's eye, chrysoberyl, garnet, and coral. During one of his travels in the 1920s, Louis Boucheron was struck by the beauty of this jewel. To pay tribute to it, Boucheron turned it into a perfume. Radiating boldness and brilliance, the Jaïpur Bouquet bottle is at once timeless and majestic. Rounded throughout, it shines in finely cut glass while displaying a captivating green color. Numerous flutings also decorate its surface. A golden jewel crowns the whole, while a small pyramid inspired by a turquoise serves as its cap. Undoubtedly, with Jaïpur Bouquet by Boucheron, there is but a single step from jewelry to perfumery.

Jaïpur Bouquet, the precious raw materials of a sparkling, floral bouquet

As before, Jaïpur Bouquet by Boucheron gives off a fruity, floral, and oriental scent. This time, however, it becomes airier and more modern. Just as precious and sensual as before, it opens with a more sparkling start. It crackles with bitterness through the grapefruit, while becoming fruitier and more gourmand thanks to the mango. Its heart, meanwhile, contains several flowers. Its femininity shines through a trio of rose, iris, and sambac jasmine, three raw materials among the most emblematic of women's perfumery, as well as among the noblest in the perfumer's entire palette. Gradually, Jaïpur Bouquet gains in character. Its base darkens and holds a woody, enveloping trio of patchouli, sandalwood, and cashmere wood.
