Narciso Rodriguez

Narciso Ambrée

Narciso Ambrée is the eau de parfum launched by Narciso Rodriguez in 2020 in the Narciso collection, a sun-kissed flanker of the 2014 original. Aurélien Guichard keeps the musk heart of the line, opened by tiare flower and Madagascar ylang-ylang, laid over an amber accord, a creamy cedarwood, vanilla and Cashmeran. The cubic bottle is tinted amber peach; Raquel Zimmermann is its face.

While this materializes in his couture creations, it is also a recurring leitmotif in his perfumes. All of Narciso Rodriguez's creations are extensions of seduction, displaying a mysterious power of attraction. A woman's hand seems instinctively drawn to Narciso Rodriguez's bottles. This time, a newcomer joins the Narciso range. Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée aims to be just as poetic and seductive as its predecessors, while displaying a more sun-kissed and radiant aura.

Aurélien Guichard illuminates the Narciso Rodriguez fragrance

Just like the first Narciso, a fragrance from 2014, the new Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée from 2020 owes its existence to perfumer Aurélien Guichard. Here, he chose not to entirely set aside its predecessor and decided to reinterpret its emblematic musk heart differently. Indeed, Egyptian musk has always been one of Narciso Rodriguez's signature ingredients. Here, it naturally finds its place in the heart notes of this composition. However, Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée offers a more sun-kissed dimension this time. This is noticeable from its top notes, which are both luminous and exotic. Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée immediately blends ylang-ylang and frangipani flower. Its heart, meanwhile, combines amber and musk. Finally, Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée displays greater persistence in its base through the addition of cedarwood. The result is a magnetic essence, creating a luminous aura around the wearer, as if her skin were being directly warmed by the sun.

Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée, Narciso Rodriguez's bottle takes on a new orange hue

Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée comes in Narciso Rodriguez's emblematic bottle, with its evident simplicity and very clean style. Born in 2014, this bottle is a perfect demonstration of beauty as structured according to Narciso Rodriguez. Indeed, the designer has always been fascinated by the cubic shape. Here, to design his bottle, he set out to find a perfect volume. This is how this glass cube was born, its inner lacquer set within a wide wall. Its former white hue has now completely disappeared, replaced by a new, more orange, vivid and vibrant tint. Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée does not display its full name on the front, but simply the word Narciso, an echo of the designer's own first name. In fact, the designer jokes about it: Narciso is an uncommon name that inevitably evokes the Narcissus of mythology. This resolutely romantic myth is an endless source of narrative inspiration. Here, with the release of Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée, he delivers a brand-new chapter of his wild epic.

Raquel Zimmermann, skin in the sun

Raquel Zimmermann on a sun-drenched beach, bottle in silhouette, set to “Baby” by Donnie & Joe Emerson.

Raquel Zimmermann, the face of the Narciso collection since 2014 following Carmen Kass, embodies Narciso Ambrée in a film shot on a beach, her face turned to the sun, in which the house's retailers describe close-up portraits and the cubic bottle first shown in silhouette, revealed against a hazy sky.

The soundtrack features “Baby” by Donnie & Joe Emerson, taken from the 1979 album Dreamin' Wild, a track the house had previously used for the For Him Bleu Noir campaign.
