Nevertheless, Boucheron now occupies another sector: that of perfumery. Yet there is sometimes only a small step between these two worlds. Thus, Boucheron decided to turn one of its iconic rings into a duo of fragrances. It is therefore, more specifically, the Quatre pour Homme fragrance that will be of interest here.

When a ring becomes an emblematic masculine fragrance for Boucheron

Quatre Homme is a fragrance that takes its name from one of the most famous rings of the house of Boucheron. Moreover, this ring alone brings together several techniques emblematic of the house. As its name suggests, the Quatre ring brings together four bands, each of which comes from a particular technique. The first of these is an assembly of two gold bands forming a Double Godrons. This technique was invented in 1889. The second band forms the Clous de Paris motif, heavily inspired by Parisian cobblestones and meticulously hand-chiseled by the master jewelers of the house of Boucheron. The third band, meanwhile, is covered in pavé diamonds. As such, these trap the light against a polished gold base. This craftsmanship is made possible through the mirror-set technique, an exclusive know-how signed Boucheron. Finally, the whole is further enhanced by a Gros Grain motif, a true masterpiece of goldsmithing. So, in the image of this exceptional piece of jewelry, the Quatre Homme fragrance reveals itself through multiple facets. It has a strongly assertive personality combined with a sensitivity that reveals itself subtly. Its character is absolutely fascinating, making the man who wears this fragrance particularly seductive.

Quatre Homme, the woody fougère by Boucheron

To meet the challenge of interpreting a piece of jewelry as famous as this one, Boucheron called upon perfumer Christophe Raynaud. He then chose to work around the theme of the fougère, a great classic of masculine perfumery. Nevertheless, he added all the know-how that the house of Boucheron is known for. Quatre Homme first opens with a bright, sharp beam of freshness. It combines bergamot and lime for a most invigorating rendering. Then, its heart opens onto a more green facet of violet leaf enriched by striking notes of mugwort. This ingredient here releases a powerful masculinity. Then, Quatre Homme suddenly becomes more reassuring. It returns to authentic notes of masculine perfumery, such as lavender. Geranium is also very elegant while displaying a touch of spicy impertinence. The whole then develops toward woody notes. Quatre Homme concludes with the vibration of patchouli combined with driftwood as well as labdanum. The Quatre ring, meanwhile, sits proudly atop its bottle. Here it is rendered in the form of a cabochon containing a precious fragrance.
