Paco Rabanne launches 1 Million Parfum in 2020, twelve years after the 2008 eau de toilette. The house presents it as a sun-kissed reading of the line: leather warmed by the sun, heightened by salty tuberose and grapefruit.

A vacation accident

Quentin Bisch, who signs the fragrance with Christophe Raynaud, recounts its origin: returning from vacation, two bottles broke open in his leather bag, a sunscreen and a cistus sample. He says he wanted to capture that blend of monoi, salty tuberose and resinous leather.

The face of Joey Bada$$

American rapper and actor Joey Bada$$ embodies the launch. The house, renamed Rabanne in 2023, now presents 1 Million Parfum as fresher and brighter than the eau de toilette, less sweet than 1 Million Elixir.
