A look back at the history of the Quatre ring by Boucheron

The house of Boucheron is famous worldwide for its unique jewelry-making expertise and its techniques that belong to it alone. To honor its various inventions, it decided to create a ring, in 2004, by bringing together four bands, each with its own distinctive technique. The first incorporates the Double Godron invented in 1889, that is, two inseparable gold bands. The second is decorated with the Clou de Paris, a motif inspired by Parisian cobblestones and meticulously chiseled. The third gathers Diamonds in their pavé version, which trap light through the mirror-setting technique. The fourth is enhanced with the Gros Grain motif, crowning the ring while being a marvel of goldsmithing.

The Quatre ring and the bottle of Quatre Iconic

This time, the Quatre ring by Boucheron elegantly decorates the top of this fragrance's bottle. Indeed, it serves here as the cap. To simplify the opening of this fragrance, this jewel is fitted with an ingenious rotation system. The whole is illuminated with a 24-carat gold plating. Only the Clou de Paris motif retains a brown color here. The heavy pleated glass of the Quatre Iconic bottle holds a honeyed juice, which speaks volumes about the amber and syrupy character of this fragrance.

Quatre Iconic by Boucheron is built essentially around tuberose, one of the noblest and most nuanced flowers in the entire perfumer's palette. First narcotic and medicinal, it becomes, within mere seconds, more sultry, honeyed and exotic. Its scent is an absolute of femininity, giving this fragrance a carnal breath. Quatre Iconic by Boucheron also releases, in its top notes, a sharper and spicier breath. It contains pink pepper, mandarin and ginger. At its heart, it softens with blackcurrant and Peru balsam. Then, little by little, it gains in persistence. Its base becomes more ambery and woody. Finally, it leaves on feminine skin a woody imprint of patchouli and vetiver. Its composition is the work of two perfumers. Quatre Iconic by Boucheron is signed Ane Ayo and Pierre Negrin.
