Polo Black
Polo Black: The fragrance of boldness according to Ralph Lauren If the previous Polo installments (Polo, Polo Sport and Polo Blue) were closely tied to the world of sport, this magnificent Polo Black released in 2005 seems to break away from it, all the better to bewitch with its refined elegance.

Fresh while remaining modern, Polo Black cultivates its originality as much as the understated sophistication of its new ambassador Nacho Figueras.
Polo Black, or Ralph Lauren’s sophisticated Black Label
Ralph Lauren’s Polo fragrances have always taken their time to deliver brilliant new releases. Polo was released in 1978, Polo Sport in 1994, and it took until 2003 and then 2005 to see two new variations emerge, Polo Blue and Polo Black.
Is it the result of chance or of an extremely effective marketing design that each Polo fragrance falls in turn within the trends of its decade? For Polo it was during the era of classic vetiver fragrances, for Polo Sport during the emergence of sporty and healthy fragrances, for Polo Blue amid very “natural” sea breezes, and finally, for Polo Black, the new millennium calls for a man who is both elegant and slightly retro. Who better then than the famous polo player Nacho Figueras, with his blend of refined and relaxed bearing, to embody Polo Black?
Between Nacho Figueras and Ralph Lauren, the connection worked instantly. The player has thus represented Ralph Lauren’s Black Label collection since 2003, the very collection that inspires Polo Black in conveying its contrasting yet so complementary scents. The Polo Black campaign, moreover, presents its ambassador in a very elegant black-and-white world. The vintage convertible ride suits its hero perfectly, and the couple’s sensuality corresponds wonderfully to the sensuality of the beautiful Polo Black.
Between the boldness of frosted mango and woody power: Polo Black
A worthy representative of Ralph Lauren’s Polo range, Polo Black takes on the square, sporty shoulders of the line’s original bottle. For this “black” version, the glass is tinted a lacquered black while adopting a steel color to display the brand’s famous logo as well as to color its opulent, very modern cap.
Polo Black opens on a surprising accord between fruity, exotic mango paired with the aromatic power of Spanish sage. Added to this accord are tangy freshnesses of mandarin and lemon, reinforced by aldehydes. At heart, floral notes meet the aromatic forces of silvery mugwort, punctuated by the freshness of calone, hedione, and liquid air. These freshnesses blend delightfully with sensual, woody depths of sandalwood, Indonesian black patchouli, and tonka bean.
Polo Black is modern, bold and sophisticated, according to L’Oréal, the parent house of Ralph Lauren fragrances.
This sophisticated fragrance is a bold fusion of frosted mango, silvery mugwort and black patchouli, according to Ralph Lauren for Polo Black.
