Solarissimo Levanzo

Indeed, the house is currently launching a new trilogy called Azzaro Solarissimo. Solarissimo Levanzo is the first fragrance in it. It is not without evoking the love of Loris Azzaro, founder of the eponymous house, for Italy, his country of origin. It is a concentrate of typically Mediterranean sunshine bottled up.

Loris Azzaro, a lover of the sun

Loris Azzaro was born in Tunis to an Italian mother and a Sicilian father. As such, he always displayed a very strong and natural attachment to the Mediterranean region. In that sense, he was simply unable to do without sun. He used to say that life is a summer that never stops. He knew how to appreciate the radiance of each day and always saw in it a source of light and warmth. Likewise, he confided that he was convinced that everyone wants, sooner or later, to erase the everyday and the gray to dress in sunshine, even if it is for the night, that he loved the sun, and that he could not do without it. The new Solarissimo Levanzo fragrance is thus fully rooted in his philosophy of life. It offers typically Mediterranean scents and leaves behind it a kind of luminous wave. Each of the three fragrances making up this collection pays tribute to a Mediterranean island, at a specific moment of the day. Here, Azzaro decided to take us to the west of Sicily, to the paradisiacal island of Levanzo, at the precise moment when day breaks and the first rays of sun come to warm the still-sleeping nature.

The fresh, sun-kissed scent of Solarissimo Levanzo

It is to Christophe Raynaud that the house of Azzaro turned to create the Solarissimo Levanzo fragrance. A true tribute to nature, it seems to have captured the daylight and the scents of the wild plants of the island of Levanzo. It all begins with a tangy, energizing freshness based on Sicilian lemon. Likewise, passion fruit reinforces the sense of escape of this fragrance. Then comes a more aromatic and green heart. It is composed of basil leaves as well as lavender. After all, what finer flower to symbolize the Mediterranean? Finally, because a man of the South would be nothing without a strongly asserted character, Solarissimo Levanzo ends with a more pronounced sillage. It combines cedar and patchouli for an ever-present elegance, woody, warm and authentic. Solarissimo Levanzo is a fragrance that manages to stay fresh without lacking charisma. On the design side, it nestles in a sleek bottle lit with a soft green light. Its cap, meanwhile, is crafted in natural ash wood. This tree is grown in sustainably managed forests. Likewise, the whole is contained in a recycled cardboard box. Solarissimo Levanzo is thus unmistakably rooted in an approach of preserving nature.
