Quatre pour Homme

The Quatre for Men fragrance from the house of Boucheron Boucheron is an iconic name on Place Vendôme. And for good reason: it is recognized as one of the greatest jewelers on the planet. For more than 150 years, it has been enhancing women around the world with its jewelry.

Quatre Men, the masculine fragrance by Boucheron

Released in 2015, Quatre pour Homme follows the success of its feminine counterpart, released in 2004. If the fragrance was boldly feminine, Quatre pour Homme kept the same touch of boldness. Here, Boucheron's iconic ring takes on a form that is thoroughly modern and masculine. Quatre pour Homme is the perfect balance between the heritage of tradition and modernity. Like a work of art, the case of Quatre pour Homme reflects an ultra-luminous pale blue. Both bold and traditional, the composition of Quatre pour Homme is signed Christophe Raynaud.

Quatre for Men by Boucheron, elegance as heritage

Quatre pour Homme takes flight on the liveliness and freshness of a sun-drenched lemon, a lemon that pairs with violet leaf. The origin of lemon is uncertain, since some claim it comes from China and others from India. Nevertheless, the first traces of lemon are found 3,000 years ago, at a time when it was still merely a citron. From the first century onward, lemon was used by the Greeks and Romans for its medicinal properties. In the tenth century, it was even primarily used to fight fever. Today, there are many varieties of lemon. In perfumery, lemon essence is used. It releases fruity, zesty and sugary tonalities. Although this is a masculine composition, the heart of Quatre pour Homme fills with femininity thanks to the presence of jasmine and rose. Finally, the base is deeper and more sensual, combining patchouli, cashmere wood and musks. Also called cashmeran, cashmere wood is a molecule reproduced synthetically in a laboratory. The cashmere wood note was patented by the company IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances). It is a recent note, having been discovered in 1970. Cashmere wood in fact evokes an imaginary wood, full of sensuality. Used for the first time by Givenchy in 1990, cashmere wood releases warm, captivating, balsamic and woody tonalities. The bottle is the same clean, solid glass design as that of Quatre pour Femme. The bottle is of course topped with a cabochon in the shape of the legendary Boucheron ring. As transparent as it is luminous, the glass offers a magical case, akin to a precious jewel.
