Quatre Absolue de Nuit
Since its founding in 1858, the house of Boucheron has established itself as one of the most renowned jewelers of our French heritage. Moreover, Boucheron was the very first house belonging to this sector to settle on Place Vendôme, in 1893.

Constantly innovating, the house then ventured into the world of perfumery. Just like its jewelry, its fragrances offer assemblages of unprecedented materials and seem designed to leave a lasting mark on history. Thus, as if to create a link between these two worlds, Boucheron created, in 2015, a perfume named Quatre, paying tribute to a ring of the same name. Now, it should be noted that this fragrance is being released in a new version named Quatre Absolue de Nuit pour Femme.
The sculpted bottle of Quatre Absolue de Nuit
Before even describing the scent of this new perfume, let us begin by delving into the history of the iconic Quatre ring by Boucheron to better grasp the world of this fragrance… Indeed, this piece of jewelry is one of the house's most beloved. It brings together several designs created by Boucheron in a single piece. As its name suggests, it is a ring assembling four precious bands, each covering a period of Boucheron's history. The first band is designed with a Gros Grain motif. A true feat of goldsmithing, it pays tribute to the Boucheron family's origins as drapers. The second band rests on a polished gold base using the “mirror setting” technique, a paving that reflects light. The third band draws inspiration from Parisian cobblestones and reproduces their motif in a meticulously structured way. Finally, the fourth band of the ring features a Double Godrons motif bringing together two gold bands. It is precisely all of these elements that are found at the top of the Quatre Absolue de Nuit pour Femme perfume. They are gathered in a yellow gold cap with a twist opening system. The Clou de Paris band is presented here in a chocolate color matching the smoky, gradient lacquer of its base. Cut from thick glass, this bottle serves as the perfect echo of the refinement of the house of Boucheron.
The gourmand scent of the new Boucheron
In terms of scent, this perfume once again nods to Boucheron's expertise. Indeed, it brings together numerous noble raw materials of perfumery. These are worked with extreme precision and were assembled by perfumer Nathalie Gracia-Cetto. In this instance, Quatre Absolue de Nuit pour Femme opens with Italian bergamot, its freshness offset by the vigor of pink pepper. Bitter almond immediately envelops it all with a certain gourmand character that gives rise to addiction. From there, femininity takes hold and jasmine enhances the heart of this perfume. Quatre Absolue de Nuit pour Femme is also enhanced by a fruity, sweet breath of pears in syrup. Tonka bean wraps it all in its gourmand, comforting tenderness. Finally, Quatre Absolue de Nuit pour Femme concludes with a burning scent of amber woods, sandalwood, and vanilla. The result is a terribly bewitching perfume.
