L’Interdit Édition Couture 2020 is the second couture edition of L’Interdit, the Eau de Parfum by Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Fanny Bal. Givenchy keeps the 2018 juice and engraves the bottle with a black Calais lace pattern and Hubert de Givenchy’s signature, a motif it repeats on a lipstick and a powder from the collection.
The 2020 edition contains the 2018 Eau de Parfum, in an identical formula. Givenchy sets a bouquet of white flowers against a dark accord: orange blossom, jasmine and tuberose on one side, vetiver and patchouli on the other, which the house calls more mysterious.
Bergamot and pear brighten the opening, while ambroxan and vanilla round out the base. The house describes a resolutely underground white flower, with a generous brightness that flirts with darkness.
