The eternal bond between Lancôme and women

La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu is a new manifesto of happiness. Far more than a perfume, it embodies the triumph of being over seeming. It accompanies women in their emancipation, offering them a heightened and eternal joy of living. Its ambition? To make life more beautiful, quite simply! La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu offers the woman who wears it an added measure of authentic, sensual yet natural beauty. Far removed from fleeting trends, it is a juice rich in emotion, embodying all of Lancôme's respect for femininity in general.

The Mediterranean and Provençal inspiration of La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu

La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu by Lancôme releases a scent more green than its predecessors. It evokes wild grasses, for a result that is as authentic as it is generous. Vibrant with happiness, it draws its inspiration more precisely from the scent of the gardens of Lancôme's Domaine de la Rose, located in Grasse. As the perfumers behind its creation explain, it draws on Provence and the Mediterranean. It resembles a lush, sun-kissed landscape after a refreshing rain shower.

When Lancôme opts for an impressive concentration of iris

As its name suggests, La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu by Lancôme showcases one of the noblest flowers in perfumery, also nicknamed the perfumer's blue gold. As you will have understood, this is iris. This flower is today 10 times more concentrated than in the original formula of La Vie Est Belle. It releases an inimitable powdery elegance. First freshened with juicy blackcurrant, the iris is warmed by a more gourmand and sun-kissed fig accord. Finally, La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu by Lancôme closes with a woody, sensual addiction of patchouli.

The new smile of the La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu bottle

La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu does not shy away from its belonging to the great Lancôme family and once again comes in the bottle nicknamed the Crystal Smile, crafted for the very first time by Armand Petitjean and Georges Delhomme in 1949. This time, however, it is adorned with an unprecedented rippling of its glass. The smile of this vessel is multiplied, revealing the femininity of a pink-colored juice. Finally, two wings of pearled pink organza embellish its neck.

Olfastory’s review

Since its creation, the house of Lancôme can boast having crafted a great many feminine perfumes. However, if there had to be only one to embody its entire savoir-faire, it would probably be La Vie Est Belle. Conceived for the very first time in 2012, it remains to this day Lancôme's undisputed best-seller. Buoyed by its success, La Vie Est Belle has given rise to 33 flankers of its scent in just 11 years of existence. La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu, for its part, came into being in 2023. So, does it live up to its predecessors? Here is our review.

All the ambassadors reunited

Film directed by Emmanuel Adjei, produced by Phantasm, bringing together Julia Roberts and all of the house's ambassadors, set to What a Wonderful World.

Emmanuel Adjei directed the campaign film, produced by Phantasm, released in 2023. For the first time since the creation of La Vie Est Belle, all of the house's ambassadors come together: alongside Julia Roberts, the fragrance's muse for ten years, appear Penélope Cruz, Amanda Seyfried, Isabella Rossellini, Lily Collins and Zendaya, as well as two new faces, Aya Nakamura and HoYeon Jung.

The soundtrack features What a Wonderful World, in a version performed by SebastiAn and Ehla. The trade press describes a global cast of happiness activists linked to the bottle's infinite smile, and reports a remark by Zendaya.
