Fame Eau de Parfum
Paco Rabanne launched Fame in July 2022, a year after Phantom, its robot-shaped men’s fragrance. Dora Baghriche, Marie Salamagne, Alberto Morillas and Fabrice Pellegrin signed its floral formula, which the house sums up in three materials: mango in the top, jasmine in the heart, and a creamy incense in the base, wrapped in sandalwood and vanilla. Elle Fanning is its face.

Paco Rabanne unveiled Fame on June 30, 2022 and put it on sale on July 1 on its website, ahead of perfumeries in September. Fame answers Phantom, the men’s fragrance launched a year earlier: it takes up its robot-shaped bottle and its connected chip.
Four perfumers signed it: Dora Baghriche, Marie Salamagne, Alberto Morillas and Fabrice Pellegrin. Dora Baghriche describes a trio of incense wrapped in sandalwood and vanilla, brightened with jasmine and mango; the house speaks of the first creamy incense in women’s perfumery.
A Parisienne, according to the house
The house presents Fame as the Parisian embodiment of the Rabanne woman, playful, sensual and self-assured, and as the quintessence of avant-garde luxury. It announces a formula of 90% natural origin, crafted in Grasse from made-to-measure raw materials.
From Paco Rabanne to Rabanne
In June 2023, the house dropped its founder’s first name and became Rabanne. The eau de parfum is sold in 30, 50 and 80 ml; the 80 ml bottle is refillable, like those of Fame Parfum and Fame Intense, which have joined the line.

Elle Fanning, to Bowie’s Fame
Elle Fanning embodies Fame in a chainmail dress, in a film by Lope Serrano shot in Paris to David Bowie’s song Fame.
The house chose American actress Elle Fanning as the face of Fame and announced it in late June 2022. For Jérôme Leloup, one of the house’s executives, she embodies the essence of the house’s ultramodern femininity; she joins a line of muses that includes Jane Fonda, Brigitte Bardot and Françoise Hardy.
The visuals show her in the house’s chainmail dress, a motif echoed by the bottle. The film, conceived in-house by Studio Puig, is directed by Lope Serrano at Diplomats, with Darius Khondji as cinematographer; it aired from September 6, 2022.
With Paris as a backdrop, Elle Fanning appears playful and glamorous, with a touch of humor, to David Bowie’s song Fame. The campaign covers television, digital, social media and print.
