Flower Ikebana Mimosa by Kenzo
Flower by Kenzo Ikebana Mimosa: the caress of a silk sun. In the Ikebana collection, Kenzo explores Japanese floral art by pairing an emblematic flower with the original rosy signature. For the Mimosa edition (2024), perfumer Dora Baghriche crafts a golden bouquet: mimosa fluff, Damascena rose petals and a woody hinoki halo. The result: a cocoon-like fragrance, luminous like the first flowers of the south of France, elegant like a minimalist ikebana arrangement.

Composition: the olfactory pyramid
Top: frosted blackcurrant & violet leaf accord
A plump blackcurrant note wraps itself in a green violet leaf veil, evoking the freshness of a sprig of mimosa picked at dawn.
Heart: sun-kissed mimosa & velvety Damascena rose
Mimosa from Grasse, soft and powdery, releases its honey-almond facets. A fresh Damascena rose weaves continuity with the Flower saga, while a touch of orange blossom lights up the whole.
Base: hinoki wood, white musks & creamy sandalwood
Japanese hinoki brings a resinous verticality, softened by white musks and a thread of milky sandalwood. Longevity: 8-9 hours, cocoon-like sillage.
Bottle: curved golden petal
Slender stem topped with an iridescent golden petal; refillable via an unscrewable base.
The iconic tube silhouette is dressed in a translucent mimosa-yellow gradient that turns golden under light. Thanks to a hidden screw thread, the 200 ml refill reduces glass use by about 44% over two cycles.
Advertising campaign
Shot by Yulia Gorbachenko on the French Riviera, the campaign shows model Mai Akeo scattering mimosa puffs in the wind. Electro-harp soundtrack “Golden Petals”. Tagline: “Arrange the light”.
Reviews & verdict
Ikebana Mimosa wraps the skin in a pastel yellow halo, more powdery than the Flower EDP, less gourmand than Flower L’Elixir. On warm skin, the almond facet of the mimosa melts into subtle vanilla; in cool weather, the rose comes across crystalline. Soft sillage: perfect for the office, a winter garden or a spring brunch.
