Flower by Kenzo l'Absolue
Kenzo Takada used to say: I absolutely love flowers. Thus, when the world moved into a new millennium, in 2000, he decided to draw on this natural element to create a fragrance. This is how, in collaboration with master perfumer Alberto Morillas, he imagined Flower by Kenzo. 22 years after its release, the fame of this fragrance endures. Its poppy scent has crossed the decades. In 2022, its personality becomes spicier and reinvents itself, to become Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue.

Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue, a fragrance to tell us the story of a singular flower
When Kenzo imagined Flower by Kenzo, in 2000, it did not fail to cause a stir in the world of perfumery... Indeed, this highly original fragrance aimed to deliver the scent of the poppy. Yet the poppy is one of the rare flowers to be completely odorless! So what was the real ambition of this composition? It was rather about letting us glimpse the poetic scent the poppy would have if it were to give off its own fragrance... Because the poppy surprises and always appears where it is least expected... Because it is beautiful and has the power to brighten the grayness of the city with its red color. Because it is as rural as it is urban, as hardy as it is vulnerable... Kenzo reveals a new facet of its personality with Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue.
The sensual, warm breath of Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue
Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue preserves the main raw materials of its predecessor, while elevating the breath of the poppy. This composition becomes more entrancing and sophisticated than before. Just like the original Flower by Kenzo, this version is once again crafted by the talented Alberto Morillas. Here, he imagines the most precious pistil for his poppy: saffron. Also nicknamed red gold, this raw material lights up with a vibrant bouquet of orange blossom and Damask rose. In its base, Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue wraps itself in white musk and vanilla. The result is a long-lasting, infinitely sexy fragrance.
The return of the emblematic Flower by Kenzo bottle
Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue comes in a bottle whose appearance is very close to that of the original fragrance. Completely timeless and highly minimalist, it seems to have been designed to cross the decades without ever going out of style. More specifically, it is a slender, transparent glass column. It appears both fragile and sturdy at once. Its glass seems to bend under the weight of the wind, as the stem of a poppy would. Moreover, it stands above a calligraphed stem, in homage to the Japanese origins of the Kenzo house. A new red gradient also appears on the walls of the Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue bottle. Finally, it takes on a different tilt depending on its size, whether it is a 30, 50, or 100 ml spray bottle.
