Amor Amor Eau de Parfum

Amor Amor Eau de Parfum: the elixir of a more intense love Launched in spring 2024, Amor Amor Eau de Parfum revisits Cacharel's famous love potion with a more sensual concentration and a heightened rosy dimension. Perfumer Dora Baghriche imagines here an ode to modern passion: the sweetness of a sun-drenched pear ignites in a heart of red rose, before wrapping itself in silky musks and creamy vanilla. Conceived as a kiss that is not forgotten, this floral-fruity-musky fragrance speaks of love at first sight in the digital age—a whirlwind of notifications, emoticons and heartbeats that the incandescent red bottle symbolizes perfectly.

Composition: the olfactory pyramid in detail

Top: sparkling fruity brightness

The opening combines Williams pear—crisp, melting—with the tangy pulp of pink grapefruit. A touch of blackcurrant breathes in a green, juicy note, comparable to the burst of a camera flash immortalizing the first spark. The effect is vivid, luminous: it evokes the sudden smile that betrays attraction.

Heart: red rose and jasmine, vibrant romance

The heart reveals a Damascena rose from Turkey picked at dawn, worked into a “Rouge Passion” accord that recalls the velvet of a petal still beaded with dew. Sambac jasmine adds its sun-kissed facet, while a hint of lily of the valley brings a crystalline chime. Together they form a sensual bouquet, both classic and ultramodern thanks to a CO2 extraction that preserves the purity of the floral facets.

Base: white musks, vanilla and cedar, an unforgettable trace

The base gathers caressing white musks, a Bourbon vanilla infused like syrup, and a touch of Virginia cedar. The wood provides verticality, the vanilla a gourmand sillage, and the musks fix the whole on skin for more than ten hours. On fabric, the powdery trace lingers until the next day, recalling the scent of a scarf borrowed from a loved one.

Bottle: passion red, heart of steel

The fiery red bell, topped with its iconic metal spring, can be refilled at will.

Keeping the cylindrical silhouette designed by Annegret Beier in 2003, the Eau de Parfum version is dressed in a deeper, almost ruby red glass that plays with light like a beating heart. The spiraled metal neck, inspired by Victorian elixir vials, serves as a technical signature. True to the brand's commitment to sustainability, the bottle is refillable thanks to an internal screw thread; the 150 ml refill reduces single-use glass by 43% and plastic by 38%, while extending the life of this little lantern of love.

Advertising campaign

The film, shot by French director Lisa Paclet, follows actress Anamaria Vartolomei through a nocturnal urban setting. With each pulse of the electro soundtrack “Love in 4K,” the city lights up with red waves spreading from her smartphone to the surrounding neon signs. The glass canopies of cafés, the subway entrances—everything ignites. As she presses the spray, a crimson beam escapes and meets that of a stranger at the corner of the street: the two beams merge, drawing the Amor Amor logo in the sky. The final tagline, written like a glowing graffiti: “Trigger Your Crush.” In print, the visual captures two silhouettes about to kiss, linked by a red thread of ink that winds around the bottle.

Review and verdict

This Eau de Parfum amplifies the iconic fruity-floral signature without weighing it down. Silkier than the 2003 Eau de Toilette, it gains woody sophistication and longevity while remaining immediately recognizable. Ideal from March to October, the fragrance adapts to urban routines (air-conditioned office, sunny terrace) as well as to more intimate encounters. On warm skin, the pear becomes almost candied, evoking a crumble fresh from the oven; in cooler weather, the cedar brings a clean, woody elegance. Moderate projection—present enough to leave a memory, but never overwhelming. A safe choice for those who want to declare their flame with both flair and softness.
