By Woman Re-Edition 1997

By Woman Re-Edition 1997 brings back in 2026 the women’s fragrance Dolce & Gabbana launched in 1997, in its leopard-print bottle. The house presents it as a woody floral, as an Eau de Parfum. Sandalwood holds the base, alongside a coffee note announced at launch; the floral bouquet, for its part, is not detailed by the house.

Launched by Dolce & Gabbana in 1997, By Woman formed a pair with By Man: a leopard bottle for her, a zebra bottle for him. Withdrawn from the catalog, the women’s fragrance returns in 2026 as By Woman Re-Edition 1997, alongside its masculine counterpart.

The Re-Edition collection

The reissue joins the Re-Edition collection, which the house opened in 2025 to revive fragrances from its archives, starting with Sicily and Masculine. By Woman Re-Edition 1997 joins it in fall 2026, sold notably at Harrods in London.

Dolce & Gabbana describes a floral, woody fragrance in which luminous flowers meet sensual woods, and offers it as an Eau de Parfum. The house has named no perfumer for this version and does not publish the breakdown of its notes.

What critics say

Elena Knezevic, of Fragrantica, finds the reissue more entertaining than that of By Man: a floral centered on lily, refreshed by citrus, far friendlier than its leopard bottle suggests.
