Concept & storytelling

The creative idea

Where the original Olympéa glorified vanilla-tinged salt in daylight, Absolu captures the thrill of an Olympian dusk: the meeting of a luminous apricot and a nocturnal jasmine wrapped in a dark vanilla, like a golden armor glowing under an eclipse.

Slogan

The advertising message is stated as an injunction: Let your light shine in the dark, a reminder that the goddess reveals her true power at nightfall.

Intended audience

Designed for those aged 25 to 45 seeking a gourmand yet refined aura, the fragrance targets cosmopolitan nightlife while remaining refined enough for a formal dinner.

Bottle & design

Iconic silhouette

The iconic crown-shaped bottle is dressed in glossy black glass accented with rose gold feathers.

Couture details

A golden tassel, a nod to the house's fashion heritage, hangs beneath the neck. The whole visually converses with Invictus Victory Absolu, creating a feminine-masculine black & gold duo.

Strategic stakes

Maximizing icons

Rabanne applies the “Absolu” treatment to its pillars to densify its portfolio and build loyalty within its community.

The stone-fruit trend

The replacement of salted plum with a velvety apricot responds to the 2024-2025 enthusiasm for juicy stone fruits.

Eco-responsible turn

The refillable bottle and FSC boxes reflect the will to reduce environmental footprint.

Olfastory’s review

Olympéa Absolu Parfum Intense Review and usage guide A fruity caress draped in golden amber The very first spray releases a juicy apricot: the velvety flesh explodes on the palate before wrapping itself in a subtly salty veil. Jasmine absolute then surges forth, white petals still warm from the sun, then black vanilla envelops the whole like a satin fabric, enhanced by a sensual amber skin. From the outset, the fragrance asserts its ambition: gourmand, yes, but draped in a reassuring sophistication.

The advertising

Olympéa Absolu Parfum Intense – The advertisement that lights up the night

“Let your light shine in the dark”: a fragrant eclipse

For this new chapter, Rabanne transposes its mythological world into an eclipse atmosphere: the goddess embraces the shadow to shine all the brighter. The claim “Let your light shine in the dark” appears across all media, underscoring the luminous accord of apricot and black gold illustrated by the bottle.

The film: 45 seconds of nocturnal apotheosis

Staging and storyline

Directed by the duo BRVZ, the spot opens on a tracking shot where Luna Bijl, clad in a lamé armor, crosses a temple plunged in shadow before lighting up the space with a gesture; a golden beam then reveals the winged black bottle. The tracking shots alternate slow motion and strobe flashes to pace the musical crescendo.

Electro-oriental soundtrack

The music, “Sun on the Nile” by producer Nabiha Ibrahim, blends sampled oud with deep-house basslines, creating a tension that peaks when the vanilla explosion resonates on the final frame.

Formats and distribution

  • Master spot 45″ aired on major European TV channels starting March 10, 2025.
  • 30″ version on YouTube and CTV platforms, 6-15″ capsules for TikTok & Reels.
  • Interactive vertical 9:16 format with swipe-up to a “golden aura” AR filter.

Print campaign: absolute black, golden wings

Photographer & art direction

Photographer Iñigo Awewave immortalizes Luna Bijl in front of an eclipse crescent; her silhouette stands out against a coppery halo, recalling the metallic sheen of Rabanne's couture collections.

Key visuals

A focus visual shows the glossy black bottle lit by a low-angle beam of light, accentuating the black-&-gold contrast characteristic of this intense variation. The typography shifts from silver to gold to assert the “Absolu” positioning.

Media rollout: an omnichannel strategy

Travel retail: preview on March 1, 2025 on duty-free screens (Paris-CDG, Doha, Dubai) with interactive displays reproducing the eclipse.
Premium OOH: digital facades at Times Square and Shibuya Crossing during Fashion Weeks.
Luxury press: double-page spreads in Vogue Paris (April) and Elle (May).

Early results: a launch already crowned with success

Within 72 hours, the YouTube video totals more than 2 million organic views; the AR filter surpasses a million uses on TikTok. Early specialized reviews praise the alchemy between the nocturnal visual and the gourmand-amber sillage, judging the campaign even bolder than that of Invictus Victory.
