Réminiscence

Patchouli N'Roses

Reminiscence first made a name for itself as a specialist in costume jewelry. Then, its reputation grew in the 1970s thanks to the creation of the perfume Patchouli, a juice that became a true icon of the hippie movement of that era.

As such, the house of Reminiscence pays tribute here to its history by reinterpreting this cult scent with profound modernity. This revisiting of the legend is now called Patchouli N’Roses.

Reminiscence takes us back to the 1970s

Patchouli is by far the most emblematic raw material of the Reminiscence brand. Indeed, it embodies the exoticism as well as the hippie movement so dear to the house. Far more than a simple raw material, patchouli is part of Reminiscence's DNA. As such, it has been interpreted countless times by this house. It thus inspired an entire olfactory family that began in 1970. While Patchouli remained for a very long time the brand's only perfume built around this ingredient, it was succeeded, in 2000, by Patchouli Homme, then by Patchouli Elixir in 2007, by Patchouli L’Eau in 2009, and by Patchouli Blanc in 2015. Patchouli N’Roses thus appears as the rightful continuation of this history. It is a new chapter in the story of Reminiscence. As such, it forms a link between the authentic history of this house and our current era. The result remains just as captivating as before. Patchouli N’Roses is a layered fragrance displaying a subtle union between two cult ingredients of perfumery. Its rendering is wildly feminine and should satisfy both those nostalgic for that bygone era and lovers of contemporary, innovative scents.

The floral nobility of Patchouli N’Roses

Patchouli N’Roses stands out as the most refined juice in this entire collection. It displays a perfect balance between these two major ingredients. In doing so, it proves particularly captivating and timeless. Its sensuality is omnipresent and almost serves as the guiding thread of this fragrance. Indeed, patchouli is a rather difficult ingredient to balance when placed in the foreground of a perfume. It is a very present raw material with a strong character that therefore easily tends to take over. Here, it is counterbalanced by the addition of two different varieties of rose. First, Patchouli N’Roses contains centifolia rose. This is also known as May rose and is grown in the Grasse region or in Morocco. It is one of the most prestigious roses in the world. Then, it gives way to one of its cousins, Damask rose, grown in Bulgaria and Turkey. Generally speaking, this is the most widely used rose in perfumery. It is at this moment that patchouli takes over and develops its mysterious, dark accents for a particularly intoxicating result.
