Luna Blossom

After the launch of Nina in 2006 and the new Luna in 2016, it seems the house of Nina Ricci has yet to finish revealing new chapters of its fragrant fairy tale. Indeed, the brand has just released a new olfactory derivative named Luna Blossom.

Where to buy

While Luna was described as a bold, intense and mysterious woody, its first flanker turns out to be lighter. Focus on the new tart, violet-tinged apple from Nina Ricci.

Nina Ricci's new freshness

If Nina Ricci developed a variation of its new fragrance Luna so quickly, it was above all to appeal to the Asian market, which is very fond of freshness. To do so, Nina Ricci called on the talented Fabrice Pellegrin, son of the renowned Olivier Cresp, as if creativity had been passed down from generation to generation for our greater pleasure. Thus, Luna Blossom turns out to be airier than ever. Its gourmand caramel of before has now given way to more mystery and enchantment. Luna Blossom opens with a fruity, fresh and tart introduction combining pear with bergamot. Thus, the gourmand character of Luna has been kept here but is more nuanced. Then this sparkling burst is quickly followed by a floral cocktail composed of jasmine, magnolia and peony. This blend of white petals brings a breath of purity, which the sensuality of the woods soon enriches. Luna Blossom gradually gains in intensity and depth. Its sillage notably contains powerful cedar, which suggests that Luna Blossom is not an easy heroine to tame. The whole closes with warmth and ends with the tender, cottony comfort of white musks. Thus, this development from its intense luminosity toward its mysterious aura resembles a dimmed light inviting closeness in an elegant, bewitching embrace.

The fairy-tale apple of Luna Blossom

Although ten years separate Nina and Luna, the world of these two fragrances has remained fairly similar. Moreover, they belong to a duo named by the house “Les Belles de Nina”. So, Luna Blossom is no exception and reclaims the collection's emblematic apple-shaped bottle. However, Luna's magnetic blue gradient has this time given way to a pink and blue juice, all in gradient and transparency. The whole turns out to be absolutely poetic even though it takes the shape of a forbidden fruit. Likewise, Luna's black rock 'n' roll leather lacing has given way to a pink satin ribbon matching the rest of this case. Thus, Nina Ricci seems to suggest that Luna Blossom has already gained wisdom compared to its elder.
