Calvin Klein previewed Euphoria in London in July 2005 and launched it worldwide from mid-September. Unilever Cosmetics International, which then produced the brand’s fragrances, made it the cornerstone of a new major line, extended by a men’s version as early as 2006.

A journey without limits

Hilde Van Den Eede, of Unilever Cosmetics International, described it to The Moodie Davitt Report as memorable, delicious and very sexy, a scent that makes people ask what you are wearing. She presented it as an invitation to free oneself and travel without limits, the fragrance becoming a state of mind.

Three perfumers

The composition is the work of Dominique Ropion, Carlos Benaïm and Loc Dong. Euphoria received the 2006 FiFi Award for best luxe fragrance, Now Smell This recalls.

Sizes

The eau de parfum came out in 30, 50 and 100 ml, with a body line: lotion, bath and shower cream, scented gel.

What critics say

Robin, on Now Smell This, found Euphoria in 2006 well made but not groundbreaking, far too sweet for her, while granting it a sensual appeal that pleases many.

Natalia Vodianova by Steven Meisel

Natalia Vodianova embodied Euphoria in 2005, photographed by Steven Meisel for print; the film was shot in Hawaii and New York.

In 2005, Calvin Klein made model Natalia Vodianova, already featured in the brand’s collections, the face of Euphoria. Steven Meisel photographed the print campaign; the TV film was shot in Hawaii and New York.

The men’s version brought back the same team in 2006: Steven Meisel photographed Natalia Vodianova alongside model Andrew Stetson, at Pier 59 Studios in New York, according to FashionNetwork.
