Euphoria

Euphoria is the eau de parfum Calvin Klein launched in September 2005, an oriental signed by Dominique Ropion, Carlos Benaïm and Loc Dong. Pomegranate, persimmon and a green accord open the composition, lotus blossom, champaca and black orchid form its heart, amber, black violet, a cream accord and mahogany wood its base, in an orchid-shaped bottle.

Robin, on Now Smell This, found Euphoria in 2006 well made but not groundbreaking, far too sweet for her, while granting it a sensual appeal that pleases many.

What critics say

Now Smell This, June 2006

On June 1, 2006, Robin opens on sweet fruits, pomegranate and persimmon loaded with sugar, which the green accord freshens with a synthetic note without softening the syrup. The fragrance quickly reaches its base, where flowers and fruits blend.

She smells a warm vanilla cream there, with patchouli, amber and musk, deep, voluptuous, almost edible, modern rather than musty like a classic oriental. Dark without excess, she finds it too heavy for hot days.

Too sweet for her, Euphoria still has in her eyes a sultry appeal that wins many people over: a well-made fragrance that breaks no new ground.
