The history of the Armani Code Woman collection

A true epic in the world of feminine perfumery, the Armani Code Woman saga keeps writing its story year after year. It began in 2006 with the creation of an enigmatic, initiatory juice. It offered a take on seduction and came across as a kind of modern elixir, at once fresh, floral and spicy. The following year, it was reinterpreted as a light eau de toilette before being transformed a few months later into an Elixir. This version displayed an oriental character more provocative and radiant than ever. That same year, Armani Code Sheer lightened the original floral accord of its juice, adding cyclamen, lily of the valley and jasmine. Armani Code Luna, for its part, gained in freshness through the addition of petitgrain and bergamot. Armani Code Ultimate Femme, in 2014, in turn became more oriental than ever. Vanilla met the warmth of a black coffee accord electrified with ginger and pear sorbet. 2015 was also a major year that saw the appearance of two new creations. Armani Code Satin was softer than before, wrapping its orange blossom in more gourmand accords, while Armani Code Turquoi played on the azure blue hue of the Mediterranean. It should also be remembered that, since 2009, Armani Code has been enriched every year with a summer version.

The new Armani Code Cashmere

So what about the very latest Armani Code Cashmere? It has staked everything on tenderness. It has, of course, kept its bright floral scent built on orange blossom. This is, moreover, an ingredient particularly dear to Giorgio Armani. It is, after all, a quintessentially Mediterranean flower, from the region of the world where he grew up. Here it is paired, right from the opening, with the opulent richness of sambac jasmine. The whole then gradually evolves toward an almond scent further reinforced by heliotrope. This small spring flower from South America is known for a tenderness reminiscent of a fresh butter madeleine. At the same time, it carries a touch of impertinence, and its spicy facet is not unlike that of carnation. Finally, Armani Code Cashmere rests on a base of incense and patchouli, while leather reinforces the animalic sensuality of the whole. This highly addictive juice is signed by perfumers Carlos Benaïm and Dominique Ropion, two noses who were already involved in creating the very first Armani Code Woman.
