Euphoria

Calvin Klein presents Euphoria as an addictive oriental in three tiers: pomegranate, persimmon and a green accord at the top, lotus blossom, champaca and black orchid at the heart, liquid amber, black violet, a cream accord and mahogany wood in the base.

Pomegranate and persimmon

Robin, on Now Smell This, finds the pomegranate and persimmon very sweet; the green accord adds a synthetic freshness that does not lighten their syrupy sweetness.

Lotus, champaca and black orchid

The heart brings together lotus blossom, champaca, an Indian flower related to magnolia, and black orchid. Robin sees them blend with the fruits into a bouquet whose outlines are hard to make out.

An ambery, creamy base

The base combines a liquid amber, a black violet, a cream accord and mahogany wood. Robin smells a warm vanilla cream, patchouli, amber and a strong dose of musk, a deep, voluptuous base, modern rather than musty.
