Who does not know CK One by Calvin Klein? It is hard to imagine, given how much its scent marked an entire generation of young and not-so-young people in search of a fresh fragrance, as understated as it was powerful in its devastating energy, and above all, for the first time in perfumery, entirely unisex. Yet, while CK One turned everything upside down when it launched in 1995, the story of Calvin Klein fragrances actually began with a far more venomous fragrance, Obsession, of course, released in 1985.

Moreover, to compose this powerful and bewitching Euphoria, Calvin Klein turned to three great IFF perfumers: Loc Dong, Dominique Ropion and Carlos Benaim. Exotic raw materials for a grandiose Euphoria
Beyond the exquisite sensuality of Euphoria's composition, one can only admire the research work of the three perfumers regarding the originality of the raw materials. Their task was also made easier by what the three men had in common: the importance of memory.
Memories that led each of the three perfumers toward very different olfactory origins, for Loc Dong these were the scents of Vietnam, for Carlos Benaim those of Morocco, and for Dominique Ropion those of the perfume bottles of his family, specialized in perfumery in the Paris region. As a result, these highly varied olfactory heritages allowed the three perfumers, working together, to compose an Euphoria that is as powerful as it is beautifully blended, as exotic as it is floral, as Asian as it is charmingly sun-kissed.
Euphoria opens with a burst of pomegranate and persimmon, bringing a very fruity exotic sweetness to powerful green notes. Then the rare champaca flower, a cousin of magnolia, lends Euphoria (just as it did for Dior's J'adore) its honeyed and opulent scents. Yet paired with a lotus flower that is far more understated and delicately aquatic, this floral heart accord exhales the beauty of opposites. Finally, the intoxication of the depths translates into woody, searing notes of mahogany, liquid amber and white musks.
