Amber

Amber by Prada, or Prada by Prada: the Prada woman between past, present and future. When the emblematic Miuccia Prada decided to create perfumes bearing the Prada name, it was clear they would be at least as representative of the venerable Italian house's values as its haute couture creations.

Amber by Prada, also called Prada by Prada, the very first fragrance released in 2004, is therefore entirely in keeping with Prada's expertise, between tradition and brilliant innovation. Amber is simply a “new way to wear Prada” ...

The amber of absolute femininity in Prada's very first perfume: Amber

The house of Prada, founded in 1906 by Mario Prada and led since 1977 by his granddaughter Miuccia Prada, is highly symbolic of Italian luxury and charm, combining age-old expertise with burning modernity. By releasing its very first perfume only in 2004, the house already set itself apart from its haute couture peers, most of whom had launched into perfumery since the 1990s. And the least that can be said is that Amber, too, would prove memorable with its ultra feminine and refined scent.

Amber by Prada could not go unnoticed. Whether through a carefully crafted and original communication campaign or through the fragrance itself, this very first Prada bottle exudes and exalts the beautiful house.

Amber was presented to the public in nothing less than a short film directed by Jordan and Ridley Scott, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2005, a rare feat for what is, at its core, an advertising film for a perfume. The film is, moreover, an ode to femininity: a classic femininity conveyed through the text read aloud (according to the house, a Gnostic poem dating from the year 100 AD), but also a modern, urban woman contemplating today's world. A timeless femininity, in short, that wears Amber by Prada, itself a timeless creation, for the Prada fragrance is the ultimate expression of a woman's personality.

Amber by Prada: between floral femininity and oriental, modern sensuality

Amber's rectangular, understated bottle recalls the classic elegance of Prada's creations while surprising with an off-center cap, like a wink from the famous Miuccia. As for the bulb sprayer added to Amber afterward, it brings an additional retro appeal to the refined elegance of this beautiful bottle.

Amber by Prada, created by Carlos Benaim, Max Gavarry and Clement Gavarry, opens on sparkling, luminous notes of mandarin, Seville orange and bergamot. Mimosa absolute lends its floral sweetness to this citrus cocktail. At the heart, the beauty of rose and patchouli absolutes intoxicates with their opulent, floral, sensual character, touched with a hint of pink pepper. The animalic depths of labdanum, blended with sensuous woods built on tonka bean and Indian sandalwood, create the addiction. Vanilla lends its gourmand character to this warm, alluring amber blend.

The first Prada perfume highlights the tradition of perfumery by revisiting this craft with an innovative approach to blending aromas. It embodies classic femininity and modern sensibility. Prada on Amber.
