L’Interdit Rouge Ultime opens a new chapter of L’Interdit Rouge in 2023. Givenchy warms the line’s white bouquet of orange blossom, jasmine and tuberose with an extract of upcycled cocoa shells, over a woody base of patchouli, vetiver and ambroxan, and dresses it in an opaque red-lacquered bottle.
Tunisian neroli opens L’Interdit Rouge Ultime, surrounded by absolutes of Tunisian orange blossom and Indian jasmine sambac: the house places the line’s white bouquet right in the top notes.
The heart pairs Indian tuberose absolute with an extract of Madagascar cocoa shells. Givenchy describes the underground flower of L’Interdit exalted by the addictive power of cocoa, which warms the trio of white flowers.
The base brings together Indonesian patchouli essence, Haitian vetiver essence and ambroxan. Against L’Interdit Rouge, with its spicy, carnal notes, the house presents the Ultime version as a warm, sensual addiction.
