L’Interdit Rouge Ultime by Givenchy: the forbidden turns to cocoa. L’Interdit has been upending the rules since 1957; with Rouge Ultime (2023), Givenchy raises audacity to its zenith. Perfumers Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Fanny Bal sign a spicy floral in which tuberose is wrapped in roasted cocoa, while white patchouli and smoky vetiver carve out a carnal depth. Hotter than Rouge (2021), more addictive than the classic Eau de Parfum, Rouge Ultime embodies the thrill of the forbidden pushed to its extreme.
Monochrome bottle with a red-lacquered interior, scarlet lacing at the neck and a patent-red 4G logo, available in 35, 50 and 80 ml.
The bottle plays on full opacity thanks to an incandescent red interior lacquer, which renders the material monochrome. The house’s American page describes this same opaque red lacquer, completed with red lace and a red 4G couture pompom.
A scarlet lacing surrounds the neck, sealed by the house’s emblem: the 4G logo, featured for the first time in patent red. One retailer describes the bottle’s shade as cherry red.
Three sizes are offered: 35, 50 and 80 milliliters, figures also echoed by the specialized press.
