Assurance then joined with delicacy, generously delivering a woody and floral scent. The success was instant, so much so that the 2017 Gentleman became, a year later, an Eau de Parfum. Its charm then revealed itself as more devastating and magnetic. This composition played the card of exclusivity from its very first notes, drawing us into a more oriental sensuality. Today, in 2019, the mood is entirely different, and Givenchy this time gives a greater place to freshness. Gentleman Cologne, a new aromatic juice in a clean white bottle

Composed by Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp, Gentleman Cologne is a particularly fresh perfume, whose vivacity expresses itself from the top notes. It opens on a combination of bergamot, lemon and petitgrain. Its heart, meanwhile, is infinitely refined. It relies on one of the noblest ingredients in the perfumer's entire palette: iris. Its powdery scent gains in masculinity through contact with vetiver and is enriched with an aromatic facet through the presence of rosemary. Finally, the full sensuality of Gentleman Cologne expresses itself more fully in its base through a duo of musk and ambroxan.

In terms of aesthetics, Gentleman Cologne takes up the codes of Givenchy's previous bottle. At once refined and casual, it is a sort of glass flask with clean lines. The weight of this bottle speaks volumes about its refinement. The black belt that the previous 2017 Givenchy Gentleman wore has been transformed into a cleaner white label. In the same vein, the whole is topped with a cap in glossy white lacquer. Less contrasted, the new Gentleman Cologne bottle displays a perfect harmony.
