Iris Harmonique, a fragrance of synthesis

It is the perfumer Alexis Dadier who is behind the fragrance Iris Harmonique. He made genuine use of technical advances in scent to craft this essence. Moreover, Iris Harmonique is mostly composed of synthetic compounds. It is a pure product of chemistry that remains no less poetic. Its entire construction revolves around a single raw material: white iris. Givenchy sees in it a symbol of light and luxury. Nevertheless, white iris is worked through all its facets, from the darkest to the most luminous. To do so, it is first paired with Tunisian neroli as well as angelica essence. As though that were not enough to make its opening shine, Givenchy also chose to brighten it with ylang-ylang and immortelle absolute. Then, the scent of Iris Harmonique gradually darkens, warming with amber, white leather and coconut wood. However, its powerful, structured and smoky aspect only appears in its sillage. This is made up of guaiac wood and oud wood. The whole thus becomes very mysterious, which only makes it all the more captivating. As is customary, Iris Harmonique comes in a bottle similar to the rest of the collection. It pays tribute to the crafts of couture and perfumery. It displays a very streamlined and balanced silhouette in which the transparency of the glass contrasts with an octagonal black cap stamped with the house's seal. Finally, as an ultimate couture-inspired detail, the neck of this bottle is adorned with a spool of thread, a final link between these two worlds.
