His first fragrance, Miss Dior, was released at the same time as his first collection. Miss Dior embodies beauty and femininity. Dior Homme Sport was born in 2011. A composition that clings to skin as naturally as wearing a T-shirt with a perfectly cut pair of jeans.

The sport version of the Dior Homme range

In 2005, Christian Dior decided to create a very refined range of fragrances with woody essences. Dior Homme is a bold range that created a surprise. Dior Homme showcases iris, one of the richest raw materials in niche perfumery. It is also an ingredient generally used in feminine fragrances. Yet within the Dior Homme range, it is iris that reigns over the composition, giving it a unique signature. Dior Homme Sport is the sillage of a refined, casual and highly seductive man. It is François Demachy, the house's official perfumer, who created the Dior Homme range. This range includes Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense and Dior Homme Sport.

The sensually fresh notes of Dior Homme Sport

François Demachy wanted a simple composition built around high-quality ingredients. Iris, very present in every chapter of Dior Homme, appears here as a familiar signature. A fragrance of vivid freshness, Dior Homme Sport blows like a wind of freedom. Dior Homme Sport opens with aromatic accords through the pairing of sage and lavender. The heart is built on powdery iris, cocoa and amber, giving the composition delicacy and sensuality. The heart then meets ginger, an ingredient known for its aphrodisiac effects, which offers sweet, mellow notes here. The base turns woodier, with vetiver, patchouli and Sicilian citron. The whole is heightened by leather notes, intensifying the sensuality of Dior Homme Sport. Both captivating and reassuring, the fragrance of Dior Homme Sport belongs to a man who plays with his own allure. Relaxed yet virile, the Dior man knows what he wants.

Dior Homme is the range for elegant men with a refined bearing. Casual and free, Dior men are seductive. To create a surprising composition, the house's perfumer chose a range built around iris, one of the most luxurious raw materials in perfumery. Dior Homme Sport is a relaxed juice, naturally worn with sexy sportswear. A fragrance that clings to skin as naturally as second nature.

Olfastory’s review

First, there was a fragrance called Dior Homme. Then, in a fresher and spicier breath, this masculine fragrance became Dior Homme Sport. Symbolizing life today, in which sport is more a philosophy than a race for performance, this masculine fragrance perfectly reflects the codes of our era. With a simple breath, it conveys the idea of a life in continuous movement. Synonymous with intensity and freedom, it speaks to all those who love to laugh, push their limits and seduce. In short, to live intensely. Here is our review of this cult fragrance in men's perfumery, created in 2008.

The advertising

Filmed in the Bahamas, 2008

Film directed by Daniel Askill with Jude Law, shot on location in the Bahamas in May 2008 for the global launch.

The launch film was shot on location in the Bahamas, in May 2008, for the fragrance's global release. Jude Law plays the leading role. The direction is by the Australian Daniel Askill, whose filmography lists “Dior Homme – Jude Law (TVC) 2008” as well as an earlier Dior advertisement, Fahrenheit 32, in 2006.

Askill states that he worked on this shoot with a team of seventy people and describes an aesthetic very far removed from that of Hedi Slimane. A blog dated late July 2008 notes that the film was circulating online at the time, ahead of its official release, though no more solid source confirms this dating.
