In 2020 Dior Homme takes back the name of the 2005 masculine for a new composition by François Demachy, woody where the original was powdery: the former eau de toilette becomes Dior Homme Original. The house describes a polyphony of raw and smooth woods, in which Atlas cedar embraces a spiced Haitian vetiver around a heart of patchouli.

In January 2020, Dior gives the name Dior Homme to an entirely new eau de toilette, signed by François Demachy, the house’s perfumer-creator. The 2005 fragrance, Olivier Polge’s iris, remains on sale under the name Dior Homme Original.

The portrait of a modern man

Demachy describes an obviously virile signature that does not rule out tender, sensual accents: in his view, the fragrance amounts to drawing the portrait of a modern man. The house speaks of a masculinity full of nuances, one that embraces strength as much as tenderness.

Dior presents an eau de toilette that unsettles with its strength and charms with its freshness, built around a polyphony of woods both raw and smooth. The house stresses a wood “hand-chiseled” by Dior and the sensual imprint the fragrance leaves.

Robert Pattinson embodies the new Dior Homme in a New York film by the duo The Blaze, carried by Leonard Cohen’s song I’m Your Man.

Dior launches the new Dior Homme in February 2020 with I’m Your Man, a film inspired by Leonard Cohen’s song. Robert Pattinson, the face of the line since 2013, takes up the singer’s promises in voice-over, ready to step into the ring or to become the lover one desires.

The film is directed by The Blaze, a duo formed by the cousins Guillaume and Jonathan Alric. Dior shows the actor in images of New York that, according to the house, bring back to life the urban heroes of great American films.
