Eau Sauvage Parfum

Eau Sauvage Parfum is the most concentrated version of Eau Sauvage, entrusted by Dior to François Demachy in 2012 and recomposed by him in 2017. The version sold today pairs Calabrian bergamot, citron and lavender around Haitian vetiver, over a base of elemi from the Philippines that has taken the place of the 2012 myrrh.

Dior launched Eau Sauvage Parfum in 2012, the first Parfum concentration of Edmond Roudnitska’s 1966 masculine fragrance. François Demachy, the house’s perfumer-creator, signed it and made it a woody amber built on myrrh and vetiver, far from the aromatic citrus of the original.

In 2017, Demachy recomposed the fragrance. He wanted it rounder and closer to the original signature, and says he sought to highlight the authenticity of the ingredients: elemi replaces myrrh and the whole gains in freshness.

The house’s story

Dior presents a Parfum version with a revived aromatic drive, warmed by the Provençal sun, which gives the solar signature of Eau Sauvage warm and radiant accents.

The fragrance belongs to the Eau Sauvage line, alongside the Eau de Toilette, Eau Sauvage Extrême and Eau Sauvage Cologne. It is distinct from Sauvage, launched in 2015 on another line.
