Sauvage Parfum is the concentrated version of Sauvage François Demachy composed for Dior in 2019, between extreme freshness and warm ambery tones. The house now sums it up as mandarin and bergamot, Sri Lankan sandalwood and cedar, vanilla and tonka bean, under the image of a blue-tinged night with a crackling wood fire.
Richard Goller, on Everfumed, judged Sauvage Parfum in 2019 smoother, richer and more refined than the earlier versions, carried by a creamy sandalwood rather than ambroxan; unremarkable at first, the fragrance won him over with repeated wear.

On September 24, 2019, Richard Goller finds the opening fresh and juicy, between bergamot and mandarin, with the spicy warmth of cardamom and a smoky touch of elemi. Cedar and a leather note warm it, and the raspberry seems barely perceptible to him.
The creamy sandalwood becomes the dominant element, over an amber base where vanilla and tonka bean sweeten without excess. He finds the fragrance smoother, richer and more refined than the earlier versions, and notes that it no longer rests on a heavy dose of ambroxan.
Unremarkable at first, it grew on him with each wear, to the point that he prefers it for its subtlety and its balance between freshness and smoothness. He recommends it as a grown-up designer fragrance, for evenings and cooler seasons, and considers it suitable for the office.
