Joy de Dior Intense, a fragrance for seeing life through rose-colored glasses
Since its founding, the Dior house has had a single ambition: to enhance the beauty of women. Yet what better way to make them beautiful than by giving them a smile? This is why Joy de Dior Intense appears as a new love potion, designed for seeing life through rose-colored glasses. Filled with optimism, it is both sparkling and luminous. It encourages the one who wears it to live as she pleases, as long as exhilaration and happiness are part of the journey!
This radiance and ambition are on display from the very sight of its bottle. Its bottle closely resembles that of its predecessor, save for a few details… Joy de Dior Intense comes in a cylindrical bottle, whose smooth walls are now sculpted like a diamond, with several beveled edges. Thus, Joy de Dior Intense plays with light and reflects it in its glass walls. Its name, meanwhile, appears in relief on the front face. The whole is topped with a silver cap, embellished with a shimmering silver thread that gives it more radiance. Its pink hue is now bolder. Finally, a lucky star is engraved at its base.
Dior reorchestrates its original recipe
In terms of scent, as in design, Joy de Dior Intense is not very different from Joy. It uses nearly all the same ingredients. However, it changes their concentration to create a new balance of scents. Bergamot is still present in the top notes and brings a refreshing lift. It is brightened with neroli for a fruity and airy rendering. Then, its heart becomes more feminine. It relies on a well-known duo of jasmine and rose, two flowers from Grasse, the capital of perfumery, and an endless source of inspiration for Dior. Gradually, Joy de Dior Intense becomes warmer and more enveloping. Its base contains tonka bean, sandalwood and vanilla. Musk, meanwhile, heightens the animalic and sensual character of this fragrance.
Joy de Dior Intense comes in 50 ml and 90 ml bottles. On screen, this fragrance is embodied, as Joy was, by the seductive Jennifer Lawrence. With such an angelic face, one cannot help but succumb to its temptation!

Released in 2018, Joy de Dior sends a glamorous, floral and gourmand scent wafting through the women's perfumery aisle. Wholly devoted to feminine happiness, it invites one to see life through rose-colored glasses, while intimately linking luxury, pleasure and sensuality. Today, it comes in a new edition and becomes Joy Intense, for an even more captivating and seductive rendering. For the occasion, Dior also offers a concentrate of gaiety in a new advertisement starring Jennifer Lawrence, the fragrance's inseparable face of the campaign.
Joy Intense, a refreshing advertisement to say the least
The Joy Intense advertisement was entirely orchestrated by American director Francis Lawrence, well known in the world of show business, notably for his collaborations with many great singers such as Aerosmith, Alanis Morissette, Jennifer Lopez, Avril Lavigne, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Green Day, Shakira and Beyoncé. Here, his pairing with Jennifer Lawrence lights up the screen. The Joy Intense advertisement is set to the song “She's a Rainbow” by the rock band The Rolling Stones. Released in 1967 and taken from the album “Their Satanic Majesties Request”, the song composed by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards gives this campaign a more airy, dreamlike spirit. The scene opens with a view of the new Joy Intense bottle, and notably the compass rose engraved directly into its glass. Then, the camera turns to Jennifer Lawrence, dressed in a long white haute couture gown, by Dior of course! Regardless of her outfit, Jennifer Lawrence dives into a pool located on the top floor of a building. Seeming to seize life to the fullest, the young woman comes across as effervescent and joyful, savoring each moment until nightfall. The Joy Intense advertisement alternates between sunlit and more nocturnal scenes, under the glow of a beautifully starry sky.
