Sauvage Very Cool Spray

Dior launched Sauvage Very Cool Spray in the spring of 2017, two years after the Sauvage Eau de Toilette. The formula is the work of François Demachy, who then led fragrance creation at Dior. It was sold in a single format, a 100 ml aerosol, under the name of fresh eau de toilette.

A new way to wear fragrance

The house presents it less as a new fragrance than as a new gesture: an unbreakable bottle to take anywhere, for wearing fragrance at any time of day, with a broad, free movement. It calls it masculine and uninhibited, and speaks of a powerfully fresh reinterpretation of the eau de toilette.

Demachy says this bottle was his starting point, in particular the power of its micro-diffusion. He says he conceived Very Cool Spray as a way of highlighting the structure of Sauvage, a composition just as direct as the eau de toilette.

The first variation of Sauvage

Very Cool Spray opens the series of Sauvage variations, ahead of the 2018 Eau de Parfum, the 2019 Parfum and the 2021 Elixir. It keeps the name, the perfumer and most of the composition of the eau de toilette, in another form.
