Phantom Parfum is the dark version of Rabanne's Phantom line, composed in 2023 by Juliette Karagueuzoglou, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. Aromatic and woody, it opens on bergamot, lemon, rhubarb and cardamom, brings together lavender, geranium, patchouli and cedar, and closes on vanilla pod, Tolu balsam and vetiver.

Phantom Parfum extends Rabanne's Phantom line, opened by an eau de toilette with a robot-shaped bottle. Launched in 2023, this more intense version aims to bring to light the darkest and most enigmatic facets of masculinity, and draws on a dreamed night in Paris.

Three perfumers sign it: Juliette Karagueuzoglou, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo. Rabanne classes it among amber woody aromatics and highlights three raw materials: an intense lavender, a vanilla it calls addictive and a sensual vetiver.

A robot turned black

The bottle keeps the robotic silhouette of the original, entirely clad in matte black. It is refillable, and the house emphasizes ethically sourced ingredients and a formula it calls responsible.

Olfastory’s review

Critics are divided on what the Parfum version adds to the original. A British retailer praises a richer vanilla base and longevity of more than eight hours; a blogger judges it barely better than the eau de toilette, and less distinctive than it.
