Coach for Men

The Coach for Men perfume: Coach for Men As with many luxury brands, perfumery is not the primary business of Coach New York. Initially, the house made its name through its leather goods creations, developing bags made from baseball glove leather.

Coach New York then turned to ready-to-wear before entering perfumery. The house thus created, in 2016, a feminine fragrance. Having achieved great success, it is now available in a masculine version. Focus on Coach For Men, a juice that is both aromatic and woody.

The very masculine and aromatic formula of Coach For Men

Coach For Men is a new fragrance we owe to perfumers Anne Flipo and Bruno Jovanovic, a duo particularly recognized and celebrated in the world of perfumery. They chose to work around woody and aromatic notes, a great classic of masculine fragrances. Here, they first turned toward a fruity opening blending juicy pear, invigorating bergamot, and a tangier kumquat. Then, the scent of Coach For Men is quickly joined by a spicier and more impertinent heart. This blends cardamom, coriander, and geranium. Indeed, this flower is highly appreciated for its impertinent and peppery character combined with a certain elegance. The whole then evolves toward a woodier and more animalic base. Coach For Men blends Haitian vetiver, suede, and ambergris for a most sensual result. It is all housed in a round bottle. It has a look very close to that of its predecessor. Its base is entirely transparent and shifts toward opaque black at the top in a smoky gradient. This gives the whole a very elegant feel. The front of this bottle is decorated with the house logo. It represents a horse-drawn carriage like those found in the heart of Central Park. A small leather tag is also attached at the neck, as a reminder of the prestige of the great house Coach's leather goods.

James Franco as the face of Coach For Men

However, because every great fragrance worthy of the name needs a face for its campaign, Coach For Men will be represented by actor James Franco. Aged 39, the actor has a bit of a bad boy edge that fits perfectly with the image of this American brand. He says he is delighted to join the ranks of the house's ambassadors, alongside singer Selena Gómez. Creativity is at the heart of my life and my commitments, he says. […] That is truly how I thrive. I loved collaborating with Stuart [Verves, creative director at Coach]. Moreover, the house does not hesitate to emphasize that James Franco embodies the quintessence of the cool Coach guy. This collaboration already promises to be very fruitful, and Coach For Men promises to be a resolutely sexy fragrance!

Olfastory’s review

What to think of the Coach men's fragrance? The luxury leather goods house Coach was founded in the 1940s in the United States. Having become in a few years an institution in vintage and trendy handbags, the house sought to diversify by offering clothing collections as well as perfumes. The pretty and fruity Coach for Femme was launched in 2014 under the guidance of perfumer Anne Flipo among others. Given its success, Coach chose to extend its fragrance universe to men with Coach For Men in 2018.
